ABSTRACT
Presents an order-of-magnitude method for estimating the fluence that optimizes the critical current in particle-irradiated cuprate semiconductors. Relationship of the fluence to the nonionizing energy loss of a given particle; Importance of knowing incident particle type and energy; Usefulness of the ability to estimate the particle fluence.
