ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the growth in Taiwan's commodity-cycle industry. It is stated that though the country's computer and electrical-parts industries have suffered in the global financial downturn, the export of bicycles has boomed. With two-wheel tourism growing in Asia, Taiwan exported $1.4 billion bicycles in 2008 and no other country is believed to be close. INSET: ON THE HOME FRONT.
