ABSTRACT
This article discusses the founding of the Leibniz Library Research Information Association, the Leibniz-Biblitoheksverbund Forschungsinformationsbibliothek. It is noted that the association was founded through the cooperative efforts of many German libraries, including the German central technical library, the Deutschen Zentralen Fachbibliotheken (ZFB). The author discusses open access, search engine technology, and market studies.
