ABSTRACT
This article discusses copyright laws which apply to reprints of works on electronic databases in libraries and a representative proceeding regarding this law. The author explains that the university library in Würzburg, Germany will sponsor this test case. The author notes that the German library association, the Deutsche Bibliotheksverband (dbv), is in support of measures to make digital library materials available for registered users without prior approval from the publisher.
