ABSTRACT
The article reports on the possible battle between boxers Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. It says that the significance of a Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown was compared by commentator Max Kellerman to the 1003 Pernell Whitaker-Julio Cesar Chavez battle that marked the pound-for-pound best in Whitetaker against the undefeated Mexican legend Chavez. It adds that if a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight will happen, it will create a renewed vigor and mainstream interest in boxing.
