Demonstrates the use of nanotips as electron nanosources to observe Fresnel diffraction by nano-objects in a low-energy-electron projection microscope without magnetic field shielding. Coherence of the field-emitted e beam from single-atom nanotips; Versatility of the projection microscope operating with nanotips.
