Derives an expression for the breakdown voltage of one-dimensional hollow cathode discharge. Specification on the breakdown condition of electrons in the discharge; Calculation and comparison between hollow cathode breakdown voltage and glow discharge operating under the same condition; Presentation of error introduced by ionization parameterization.
