The article presents information on green information systems used by United Parcel Service of America Inc. (UPS). Jack Levis, Director of Package Process Management at UPS, participated in meeting of the Advanced Practices Council (APC) in January 2009. At the event, Levis said that UPS has reduced 30 million miles of travel by using telematics, global positioning systems, and mobile communications technology in automotive navigation systems to track each truck's stops and speed.
