Explores the experimental generation of large-amplitude constant-voltage steps at elevated temperatures in a YBa[sub 2]Cu[sub 3]O[sub 7-sigma] step-edge junction. Function of an extended resistively shunted junction model; Proposal of a rapidly programmable Josephson voltage standard; Fabrication of the junction over a ground plane.
