This article provides tips on choosing cell phone services and personal digital assistants (PDA). According to the article, a cell phone service consists of three elements: signal coverage, price plan and the handset. A buyers first step should be to check the carriers' coverage maps for the areas where the cell phone would be used. The first question to decide when buying a PDA is whether a buyer want the Palm operating system or a Windows CE unit. The Palm software can be found in machines from Palm, Handspring, Symbol and TRGPro. The Palm software dominates the market, with an estimated 70 percent share of sales and over 6,000 software applications available.
