Taxable sales in Nevada decline during March

The article reports on the drop in taxable sales in Nevada for the 24th consecutive month in March 2009. According to the Nevada Department of Taxation, taxable sales in the state declined 16.5 percent compared with the same month in 2008. Total taxable sales in Nevada in March was $3.6 billion, down from $4.3 billion in the previous year. Sectors that were most affected included furniture stores, car dealers, clothing retailers and restaurants.
