ABSTRACT
The article presents a political, economic and business risk assessment for Latvia in 2009. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has decided to delay the disbursement of �200 million of the joint European Union (EU)-IMF �7.5 billion financial bailout package. Latvia's exports have also contracted by 23.3% year-on-year in March. Visitors in hotels and other accommodation establishments in the country have declined to 191,585 in the first quarter of 2009.
