ABSTRACT
The article presents a political, economic and business risk assessment for Poland for 2009. A public opinion poll conducted by TNS OBOP, the country's ruling Civic Platform (PO) party, is leading over the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party. Data released by the Polish Central Statistical Office revealed the economy is expanding by 0.8% in the first quarter of 2009. A total of �6.5 million in funding was approved by the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the construction of a number of sections of the Warsaw ring road.
