Assembly;Jun2009, Vol. 52 Issue 6, p38
The article focuses on several techniques of parts feeding in robots and the factors to consider in selecting them. Phil Baratti of EPSON Robots advises assembly-lines to determine the application, cycle times, size of parts and costs. The article says that the vibratory feeder bowls are faster and precise but cost more. It adds that the pallet-based nesting includes pallet-based conveyors that has code-reader features.
