Plastic Welders Take to the Sea

The article focuses on the use of plastic welders and extruders in shipbuilding by the company Turbotsan in Istanbul, Turkey. The plastic welders and extruders are being sourced from the plastics assembly equipment manufacturing company Leister Process Technologies. The processes involved in manufacturing vessels starting from the creation of a frame using polyethylene pipe to the welding process are described. The use of the equipment allows Turbotsan to produce approximately 40 vessels annually.
