ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the benefits of using a test-centric assembly. The system has the ability to monitor the contents of each pallet and evaluate the condition of the parts to the control system. The system will save money by producing a greater return from higher yields. It can monitor defects and faulty assemblies effectively so returns are minimized. A 10% decrease can be achieved in time-to-market for new products by mining data from assembly and test operations.
