Even Humble Screws Get a Battery of Quality Checks

The article discusses quality checks being performed by Semblex Corp. in its fastener manufacturing facilities in Elmhurst, Illinois. Quality checks start before the production of a single fastener in the plant. Quality checks are not complete even after sorting method because a sample from every batch of fasteners is sent to an on-site laboratory which runs a test for hardness, material composition, corrosion, tensile and torsional strength and drive characteristics.
