ABSTRACT
The article reports on the desire of the Canadian Blood Services to complete the construction of three specialized registries and the restoration of an organ donation system within a year. The registries include the highly sensitized, urgent-status, and for living donor paired exchange. Doctor Peter Nickerson, executive medical director for organs and tissues at the Canadian Blood Services, is expecting that the registries will be operational by 2010.
