Examines reactions of some positive ions with atomic and molecular hydrogen (H) in a selected ion flow tube. Effect of the spin states of product species on the rates of reactions of the H atom; Observation that most of the reactions proceed by H atom abstraction and at a large fraction of the Langevin rate.
