ABSTRACT
The article discusses the results of the 2009 Trends in Investing study conducted by the Financial Planning Association (FPA). The study was conducted to determine the effects of advisers' investment behavior on the market environment. The recommendation on the use of exchange traded funds (ETFs) by advisers increased in comparison to the 2008 survey. It was also revealed that apart from ETFs, advisers also recommend mutual fund wrap programs, alternative investments, and real estate investment trusts (REITs).
