ABSTRACT
Studies the transport properties of spherical and linear molecules modeled by the Kihara potential using molecular dynamics simulations. Calculations of diffusion coefficients, shear viscosities and thermal conductivities; Dependence of the diffusion coefficient on elongation; Decrease in viscosity and thermal conductivity with decreasing elongation.

The nematic–isotropic (N–I) phase transition of rod-like molecules is investigated by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. This study is focused on three different aspects. First, a more realistic model than a hard core system is employed. Second, the MD simulation enables us to...

Bovine liver cytochrome b (cyt b), with heme bound noncovalently, has been converted into a cyt c-like protein (cyt b N57C) by constructing a thioether linkage between the heme and the engineered cysteine residue. We investigate the thermal denaturation of DNA hairpins using molecular dynamics simulations of a simple model describing the molecule at a scale of a nucleotide.
