ABSTRACT
The article provides information on several active vehicle self-protection systems. The Awiss system from Diehl BGT Defence is said to be capable of detecting munition for 0.355 seconds. A missile and laser warning system activate the Multifunction Self-Protection System (Muss) from Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Eads. The development of the Trophy or Armoured Shield Protection (Aspro) by Elta with Rafael is funded by the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
