ABSTRACT
The article provides information on several counter-rocket, artillery and mortar (Ram) technology. The Phalanx close-in weapon system of Raytheon is the predecessor of the Centurion Block-0 land-based system. The Rheinmetall/Oerlikon Skyshield has been acquired by the Bundesministerium der Verteidigung or the German Ministry of Defence for the System Flugabwehr or Air Defence System programme. The 160-millimeter Light Artillery Rocket (Lar) is the basis of an interception round used by the Magen Kassum system from Israel Military Industries.
