ABSTRACT
The article presents updates on federal funding in the U.S. for children during February 14-20, 2009. President Barack Obama signed a $787 billion economic stimulus bill into law, promising aid for programs to help the young. Child and nutrition advocates applauded the passage of the final stimulus package that boosts funding for the SNAP/Food Stamp program. The economic stimulus will provide help for the families of millions of children through an expansion of the refundable Child Tax Credit.
