ABSTRACT
The article presents the results of university studies regarding the effect of sulfate potash on growing sweet potatoes in the U.S. It states that that studies show that sulfate of potash may be a more effective potassium fertilizer for sweet potato crops than traditional muriate of potash (MOP). It adds that in preliminary studies, sulfate of potash increases the yield of sweet potatoes by as much as 32 percent.
