ABSTRACT
Presents a state-selected study of the ion-molecule reactions of oxygen ions. Center-of-mass collision energy range; Employment of differential retarding potential method; How charge transfer is the overwhelming product channel for the reactions; Suggestion that the nitrogen compound is an excellent quenching gas.

In this paper, we elaborate on our previous communication of high coverages of oxygen on Rh(111) [J. Chem. Phys. 110, 2757 (1999)].
