ABSTRACT
Presents high resolution vibrationally resolved gas-phase carbon 1s core photoelectron spectra of methane and ethane, recorded using highly monochromatized synchrotron radiation and a high-resolution electron spectrometer. Linear coupling model and calculations; Symmetric mode vibrational frequencies for methane and ethane.
