ABSTRACT
The article reports on the predicted profits of the company TNT Express Worldwide despite the current economic crisis. TNT expects to boost its volumes and revenues in the region by 20% in 2009. The company is compensating for the downturn by focusing on expansion in Asian freight market. Based on strategic acquisitions of leading truck operators in China and India, TNT began to develop day-definite domestic surface offerings while building up trucking links between the countries in the region.
