The article reports that Vystar Corp. and Alatech Healthcare LLC are working together to produce the first product, a condom called Envy, made from Vystar's patented Vytex natural rubber latex. It is expected that this joint venture will stabilize Alatech which lost a major contract to the U.S. Agency for International Development in early 2009. Alatech now plans to market the condoms to retailers and through other distribution channels.
