ABSTRACT
The author relates his experience with two portable patient lifts that were battery powered and also had the capacity to fold down. He shares that he started to research on some portables of this kind when he had a bad fracture and months of hospitalization due to his C5 spinal-cord injury, as a necessity recommended by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He notes that he did not have a good start with the first portable lift but satisfied with the Mobile Lift, the second one.
