ABSTRACT
This article reveals the plan of Sempra Generation to expand the capacity of its photovoltaic power generation plan near Boulder City, Nevada. The company plans to build the largest thin-film photovoltaic installation in North America that can provide power to 36,400 homes. Particular focus is given to reasons for choosing Nevada for the renewable energy project. First Solar Inc. will play an important role in the project, which will lead to the creation of 200 construction jobs.
