ABSTRACT
This article reveals the corporate restructuring effort completed by MGM Mirage and a plan to be involved in a project to build and operate smaller, nongaming versions of the Bellagio and MGM Grand in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company was able to raise $1.1 billion by selling shares of its stock on the New York Stock Exchange. Jim Murren of MGM Mirage says the company is now well-positioned to continue the work needed to achieve recovery and enhance profitability.
