The article focuses on an integrated trailer assembly line opened by Schmitz Cargobull (UK) Ltd. at its Harelaw facility in County Durham, England. The assembly line enables simultaneous manufacturing of curtainside and refrigerated trailers. It is also expected to increase the overall production capacity of the facility. The bolted and galvanized manufacturing method implemented by Schmitz eliminates the need for welding, which in turn offers improved product quality and increased manufacturing flexibility.
