ABSTRACT
The article discusses the national observance in May, 2009 of the Healthy Vision Month in the U.S. and the promotion of the 10 vision objectives. As stated, the theme for the year is Your Eyes Are the Windows To Your Health and the focus will be on the reduction of uncorrected refractive errors and having regular eye examinations. It is noted that the Vision Health Initiative includes the prevention of vision loss, the promotion of eye health and coordination of all the prevention, management and rehabilitation efforts.
