Steel prices continue to decline, where the price for hot-rolled coil had dropped from $430 to $440 a ton. Leading industry companies, including Nucor Corp., Steel Dynamics Inc., and AK Steel Corp. have reported a net loss from $73.4 million to $189.6 million. The steel shipments to service centers also declined significantly by about 55%.
