The article reports on the effort of the Companion Animal Welfare Council (CAWC) to gather evidence related to the use of electric pulse training aids (EPTAs) or shock collar for companion animals in Great Britain. It says that CAWC aims to produce an independent report from a working group regarding the significance of EPTAs usage based on direct experience. Moreover, the working group will identify both the advantages and disadvantages of the EPTAs method of training.
