ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the concept and production of "The Hazards of Love" album by The Decemberists. The album consists of 17-songs British folk/rock about a girl named Margaret. Guest vocalists Becky Stark and Shara Worden along with the band's lead singer, Colin Meloy, sing the three characters in the songs while the other four members of the band have added instrumental mixtures for the music. The album was recorded from August-October 2008 at Kung Fu Bakery Studio in Portland, Oregon.
