ABSTRACT
The article unveils the plan of the U.S. government to increase federal spending on a program designed to deal with fraud and abuse within Medicare and Medicaid. The budget allots $1.7 billion in multiyear increases to enhance Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control (HCFAC) program. It also gives the Indian Health Service $454 million more. Government officials claimed that such budget changes could lead to a $316 billion savings.
