ABSTRACT
The author talks about his secret life with the band Depeche Mode (DM). According to him, it was 1989 when he became a huge DM fan. He mentions the song "Master and Servant" which fed rumors that the band was gay. When he was at the all-boys high school Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona, he would hide his DM t-shirts beneath his button-ups. He describes the cover of the band's album "Catching up With Depeche Mode" which shows band member Martin Gore without a shirt on.
