ABSTRACT
The article reports that Nevada will receive .27% of the $100 billion allocated by U.S. President Barack Obama's federal stimulus bill for transportation and infrastructure projects. A formula that considers growth, total population, and other factors was used for the budget allocation. The stimulus package requires the Nevada Department of Transportation to use $140 million and the rest of the funds to be divided around the state. Senator Harry Reid says Nevada will benefit from the recovery package.
