ABSTRACT
The article reports on the 127.96 percent decline in the Southern Nevada Index of Leading Economic Indicators in January 2009. According to Keith Schwer, executive director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the fallout of the failure of Lehman Brothers continues to show up across the U.S. She says that the nation is in the most difficult part of the recession.
