ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the decision of McCarran International Airport to proceed with its $3.5 billion construction plans despite fewer visitors and low airline demand. In March 2009, passenger arrivals and departures have declined by nearly 12 percent compared with the same month the previous year. Also, the company has upgraded its tram system serving its C and D terminals. According to the company, a new air cargo center is also being constructed at the airport.
