ABSTRACT
Discusses a study which implied that specialization of treatment for cancer patients leads to better survival outcomes. Comparison of teaching hospitals, which are more specialized, with non-teaching hospitals; Opinion that the results of the study need to be interpreted cautiously since they are based on observation; Question as to what point in cancer treatment specialization may bring better results.
