ABSTRACT
The article reports that Kenyan eco-camp basecamp Masai Mara is marketing itself by boasting the fact that U.S. President Barack Obama stayed in one of its rooms in 2006. The tent, now named the 'Obama Room', is set on the banks of the Talek River overlooking the Masai Mara National Game Reserve and costs $470 per night. The camp's general manager, Annette Bulman, believes the main reason Obama stayed at Basecamp Masai Mara was because of its environmental sustainability record.
