Broadcom continues to push for $764M Emulex acquisition

The article reports that Broadcom Corp. is going ahead with its plans to acquire Emulex Corp., even after the board at Emulex rejected Broadcom's $9.25 net per share cash offer. Broadcom announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Fiji Acquisition Corp., has issued a tender offer for all the outstanding shares of Emulex's common stock. Emulex had said that Broadcom's proposal significantly undervalues its worth and is not in the best interest of its stockholders.
