ABSTRACT
The article announces the launch of a study of issues related to public-safety communications professionals in the U.S. by the Professional Communications Human Resource Taskforce (PRO-CHRT), appointed by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO). PRO-CHRT will study the status of training standards and certification requirements, retirement options, and other human resources issues. The study will be used to form a toolbox which consists of a summary of state labor laws, retirement benefits, and certification requirements.
