ABSTRACT
The article discusses the prediction that the growth in alternative technology will be larger compared with the rest of the truck industry in 2009. It is said that the rising price of diesel will prompt fleets to consider fuel-efficient trucks with alternative technology. National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) market data and research director Steven Latin-Kasper noted that the truck industry should be aggressive in their effort to penetrate the export market. He stated that the global demand for steel is increasing.
