Qualcomm to pay Broadcom $891M in settlement

The article informs that long running legal war between wireless rivals Broadcom Corp. and Qualcomm Inc. has ended on May 3, 2009 after the announcement of a settlement and multi-year patent agreement between them. Qualcomm will pay Broadcom $891 million in cash over a period of four years as part of the agreement. Management of both companies praised the resolution as a positive one for the companies, their customers and partners, and the overall industry.
