ABSTRACT

The article focuses on the whistle-blower statutes included in the U.S. economic stimulus package. According to employment lawyer Daniel Westman of Morrison & Foerster LLP, specific safeguards in the stimulus package will make employer compliance tricky. Compared to other whistle-blower statutes, the stimulus package's safeguards make it easier for employees to build retaliation cases and more difficult for an employer to rebut them.
