ABSTRACT
The article discusses the measures taken to control the spread of invasive species in New York. Examples of such invasive species include snakeheads, emerald ash borer and the Chinese mitten crab. It is noted that one type of biological pollution facing New York is the introduction of non-native pathogens. The factors that contribute to the spread of such invasive species and the recommended ways to prevent their spread are discussed. INSET: Don't aid the invasion.
